The 40th Europassion Congress will take place in Miercurea Ciuc from 6 to 9 June 2024, with 150 participants from 12 European countries, representing 32 passion groups. The rich and varied programme will include a public part, to which all are welcome. These include:

• On Thursday, 6 June, from 20:00, the event will start with a flag-raising ceremony at the Castle Square in Miercurea Ciuc, where the brass band of Csíkszentsimon and the “tárogató” player Béla Both will delight the audience;

• The opening ceremony will start on Friday, 7 June at 10 am at the Church in Csíksomlyó, with performances by the Children’s Philharmonic Orchestra of Szentegyháza and the Codex Early Music Ensemble from Miercurea Ciuc;

• On Saturday, 8 June, from 11 am, the Harghita National Szekler Folk Ensemble will present a folklore show at the Cinema; from 12 to 5 pm, the programmes of the Garden of Mary will be organised in the courtyard of the former children’s home in Csíksomlyó (with an exhibition of Passion and folk art, folk music, Visit Harghita and the Route of Mary, and a screening of the Szekler Legendary cartoon film). There will also be a presentation of the Palatine Order and a rosary for peace). Food and drinks will be available at the mobile buffet. The public programme will end with a Liturgy at the Church at 18:00, with music and singing by the children of Csíkszépvíz.
