Passion of Csíksomlyó

Csíksomlyó is located in Harghita County, part of the city of Csíkszereda. It is an all-Hungarian pilgrimage site and a famous Marian shrine, visited by Pope Francis in 2019. Every Pentecost, the famous Csíksomlyó pilgrimage takes place here.
After long preparations, we managed to organise a Passionist community from 1996 and on Palm Sunday we presented the Way of the Cross of Christ in the square in front of the Basilica minor papalis in Csíksomlyó.
The story of the Passion of the Christ is presented in a new performance form with 60 actors, in which dance and music play a leading role.

We welcome you to our performances, which are presented every year on Palm Sunday, in the courtyard of the Episcopal Church!
